You have the Art... now what are you gonna do?
For a second time in a decade a version of The Scream has been stolen. Another version of the painting was taken from in February 1994, but recovered three months later.
If you were a theif wouldn't you aim a wee-bit higher in you choice? I mean don't get me wrong Edvard Munch's pieces are beautiful.... but they have been stolen before! I can just imagine what was going through the robber's heads when they were performing this art raid...
Well since they found the other version 3 months after we stole it the last time maybe we better take the other one and hide it in a better place. I don't think on the wall next to the poster of "Ah-ha" was good enough. Besides I don't want the poster knock-off like everyone else in University has!!! *looks around* Oooh "Madonna".... that one will look great over my bed above the crucifix. The ladies will dig it!
My opinion is made clear. It is in absolute stupidity to steal art. What are you going to do with them? Sure they are worth loads, but they can never be cashed in or displayed...due to the fact they can be spotted from a mile away. Maybe these works happen to be stolen for somebody, and 2 pee-ons were hired to do the dirty work.
